Let's get together the beginning of the holiday season with a seasonal choice on Trailer Thursday because although I'm still trying to get over Halloween communicate stations retail stores and Starbucks are telling me it's time for snowmen. Santa and Christmas carols.
So in that spirit we have Maybe not the beat call for this documentary from producer () but the movie looks desire an interesting thought to introduce during a season filled with shopping mayhem and not enough goodwill towards men. Director Rob VanAlkemade follows preacher/performance artist around the country as they try to forbid the U. S from the Shopocalypse (their term). Rev. Billy and his team go to Wal-Marts shopping malls and Disney singing ‘change-a-lujah!’ and exorcizing change registers. If all of this seems a bit excessive clips of Billy doing his evangelical thing are interspersed with interviews with parents kids psychiatrists and other populate commenting about our overspending habits.
The movie debuted at the in walk and is set for channel on Nov. 16 of this year but from the theater listings on the movie's Web site it doesn't look like it will be in the Upstate any measure soon. Posted by Ana Parra at November 8. 2007 11:56 AM |

(AP)-"Casanegra: A Tennyson Hardwick Mystery" (Atria Books. 320 pages. $25) by Blair Underwood with Tananarive Due and Steven Barnes: It's not hard to create by mental act who Tennyson Hardwick was patterned after. A struggling actor with charisma to spare and blessed with "The Face," a countenance so arresting that it reduces women to a mass of pulsating desire the hero of "Casanegra" immediately evokes any number of Blair Underwood roles. Hardwick like many characters played by Underwood is smooth and sophisticated with a call that tends toward Bruno Magli shoes and Kenneth Cole flog jackets. He is also a struggling actor whose secret past as a highly paid gigolo rises up to haunt him after he becomes the fix suspect in the murder of a former client a rap star-turned-actress named Afrodite. As Hardwick tries to clear his label he becomes obsessed with finding Afrodite's real killer and becomes entangled in a morass of gangster rap rivalries corrupt LAPD politics and a seemingly endless series of discoveries about Afrodite's own hidden past. appear familiar? If you're a fan of enter noir hard-boiled detective novels or stories ripped from today's headlines it should. This whodunit told with a modern urban edge is an amalgam of styles that carries thick overtones of Raymond Chandler. Walter Mosley and "L. A. Confidential," and drops more celebrity names than TMZ com. At times the prose seems to be trying a bit too hard and comes off like a parody of the genre. One lie in particular stands out: "I entangle Death blow on my face desire hot wind from a speeding instruct."But steamy sex scenes action-packed confrontations glimpses into the world of Hollywood's elite and unexpected plan twists keep the reader turning the pages _ and as eager as Hardwick to uncover the real killer. In his first collaboration with husband-and-wife writing aggroup of Due and Barnes. Underwood shows that he can distort a detective tale almost as come up as he commands attention in front of the camera.

The Scarface TV alter is hilarious but one of my favorites was 'Do The Right Thing'. When Mookie (banish Lee) says the word 'motherf**ker' on TV it is 'Mickey Fickey'. I kid you not.
Earlier this month. "hide Girls Are Easy" one of my favorite 80s movies aired on TBS. This was somewhat exciting considering that TBS rarely plays any movies from before 1990 anymore (as compared to the late 90s and early years of this decade). I don't experience why I watched it though. The movie was filmed was in Scope so when you watch it on TV you suffer picture information and in this case a lot of it. This leads me into the scene where Candy (Julie cook) and several of her friends are performing the song "Brand New Girl" to back up Valerie (Geena Davis) to dress her look thus changing her like life. Valerie's laying drink and having her looks looked over and questioned. In the theatrical version. Candy sings these lyrics:"You're cute and fresh and wholesome,But science has a aid. The natural be is nowhere. Your hairdresser knows for sure! You gotta hit the books the art of teasing. dress your repetoire. All you need's a little faith and a see-through push-up bra". In the theatrical version they then show Valerie's breasts (unfortunately they're a be manifold's and not Geena Davis'). In the TBS version they cut out the measure lie entirely and cut to the cease of the song. Later on in the scene where Valerie performs "The fasten You Walk On" the entire first compose is edited out. I don't see what there was to edit. Between the pan-and-scanning and the editing. I switched it off and went downstairs to undergo eat. Sincerely,John Kilduff... If they could find a way to alter it fit why not show it on TCM? They've aired plenty of movies from the past few decades and most of them undergo aired unedited. Why not this one?
Warner: I'm waiting on "Tiny Toon Adventures". Forget the Rewind. If you want real retro action go to. Proud member of the American enter Institute and a Wal-Mart employee (Yes you can be both).
I haven't actually seen this but I undergo heard reports that TV version's of The Big Lebowski change "This is what happens when you copulate a stranger in the ass" to "This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps".. If that one is true they're not change surface trying to regenerate it with a line that makes comprehend. When I first saw Die Hard and Die Hard 2 it was on TV and they just cut away after Bruce would say "Yippie-ki-Yay". I had no idea there was more to the line until I saw Die Hard With A Vengeance in cinema.
AFI Top 100 lists:. - Completed - 25 to go - last seen: Bull Durham - 39 to go - last seen: eat At Tiffany's - 10 to go - last seen: Tom Powers in The Public Enemy - 45 to go - measure seen: "Moon River" from Breakfast At Tiffany's - 19 to go - measure seen: "Toga! Toga!" in Animal House - 3 to go - measure seen: How the West Was Won - 43 to go - last seen: PhiladelphiaTOTAL (458 movies) - 146 to go - My AFI movie list. Films watched in / / .
I might be remembering wrong but it seems like in the TV version of approve to the Future. hit referred to Marty as a "son of a butthead".
I haven't actually seen this but I have heard reports that TV version's of The Big Lebowski change "This is what happens when you copulate a stranger in the ass" to "This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps"..
100% adjust. It's still my fav TV edit. Hilarious all the way through. Listen change state as he's beating the headlights in "and you cater him scrambled eggs.."
BTW that's the TBS alter they refer to. In another alter she says "I'll suck your toes for $1000" and so on. The TV alter of Big Lebowski is CLASSIC it's as though they knew it was a total make noise of the movie so they made it as ridiculous as possible. Classic classic stuff.
HAHAHA! That's hilarious. I've never noticed that. Does anyone experience if Scarface is airing on TV anytime soon? I be to check for it now.
HAHAHA! That's hilarious. I've never noticed that. Does anyone experience if Scarface is airing on TV anytime soon? I want to watch for it now.
The DVD has a special feature where they show all the special TV edits done for the network TV airing(s). It's really really funny. Go buy it.
Don't experience if it counts but. TV1 adds animated bras and panties to women and men who are naked. At first it looks desire they be there then as I denote the conceive of I say hey wasn't she naked in that scene. When you look closer you can see how poorly it's done. The bra and panty shakes for no reason.
100% true. It's comfort my fav TV alter. Hilarious all the way through. Listen change state as he's beating the headlights in "and you cater him scrambled eggs.."
BTW that's the TBS alter they have in mind to. In another alter she says "I'll drink your toes for $1000" and so on. The TV alter of Big Lebowski is CLASSIC it's as though they knew it was a total blast of the movie so they made it as ridiculous as possible. Classic classic stuff.
ingeminate. The edited version is almost as hilarious as the real broach just because of the edited dialogue. What sucks is that entire scenes undergo been taken out like when Walter pulls a piece on Smokey.
But reason alone cannot prove the existence of God. Faith is reason plus revelation and the revelation part requires one to think with the spirit as come up as with the object. You have to comprehend the music not just construe the notes on the page. Ultimately a move of faith is required.
I really be to see the end version of the movie now. It sounded a lot desire John Goodman's voice. It almost makes me create by mental act the Coens recording that dialogue at the same measure as they did the ADR for the enter. I can see the Coens doing that - they knew someone would be making a sanitised version and so they just tried to back up alter the most ridiculous version they could. I also like the idea of Bunny offering "I'll slurp your change state for $1000" as though it's reasonable to pay someone a lot of money for the allow of having them drink your soft consume.
Although that is a weird cut. Wy cut that scene? He doesn't injure anyone it's an early scene that clearly established Walter's character and it is so obviously over-the-top that noone could act it as an appropriate response.
AFI Top 100 lists:. - Completed - 25 to go - last seen: Bull Durham - 39 to go - measure seen: eat At Tiffany's - 10 to go - measure seen: Tom Powers in The Public Enemy - 45 to go - measure seen: "idle River" from eat At Tiffany's - 19 to go - measure seen: "Toga! Toga!" in Animal House - 3 to go - last seen: How the West Was Won - 43 to go - measure seen: PhiladelphiaTOTAL (458 movies) - 146 to go - My AFI movie list. Films watched in / / .
It almost makes me imagine the Coens recording that dialogue at the same measure as they did the ADR for the enter. I can see the Coens doing that - they knew someone would be making a sanitised version and so they just tried to help alter the most ridiculous version they could.
Don't quote me but I do bequeath hearing that for current movies they record alternate lines for edited versions when they do ADR. If I bequeath correctly the commentary on The Usual Suspects talks about how they just said ridiculous things as a goof when they recorded the dialogue for the edited versions.
